Ask More Questions

People ask a lot of oddly-specific questions. Just visit Quora - a website dedicated to questions and answers.

A couple recent ones are...

If there is a nuclear war and I hide in a bunker underneath my house, can the government claim my land?

And...

Where did the whole "Ginny slept with half the school" thing in Harry Potter fandom come from?

Questions are great. Questions are a show of curiosity. People should ask more questions.

But preferably applicable questions.

The likelihood of nuclear war is slim. The likelihood of surviving nuclear war is slimmer. You probably don't have a bunker under your home. And in the apocalypse, it probably won't make a difference whether the government claimed your land or not.

Ginny Weasley is a fictional character. Whether she slept with half of Hogwarts won't improve your life.

But other questions like...

How do people handle a workload that feels like it's 24/7?

What are the top five ways people handle stress?

How do the world's best performers practice? Can I do the same things?

Those are questions worth exploring. Those are questions that can make your life better.

Those are questions that can make a difference.

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
