Even Black Friday Costs You Something

There are a lot of incredible deals on Black Friday. But only if you're looking at dollars.

There is always a price to be paid for something worth getting.

There's the time that's paid. Waiting in line for three or four hours for your store of choice to open. All so you can be near the front of the line, so you stand a chance of winning the sprint towards the item you want.

For the biggest deals, you have to secure your place in line starting Tuesday or Wednesday. These hard-core shoppers pay with their Thanksgiving day.

And then, you're also paying in terms of your health. Sacrificing sleep that will take days to catch up on.

So while you might save a few hundred bucks on an item, you're paying for that item in other ways.

Now, if you love the thrill of Black Friday and that carries meaning for you, that's another story. By all means, go nuts.

But when we bend over backwards just to save money, that's when our critical thinking skills go out the window.

Because something worth getting always costs. Whether you're paying in dollars, time, or health.

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
