Fancy Chords

There are many elements of music you can be drawn to.
  • Melody
  • Rhythm
  • Bass
  • Chord Progressions
  • Polyphony (fancy speak for multiple melodies going at once)
  • Timbre
  • And a lot more...
I was the odd kid who would rewind the same 10 seconds of a piece (dozens of times in a row) to hear a chord progression that resonated with me. Whether it was classical, jazz, or pop. At least, I thought I was odd at the time. But as I've gotten older and become more enamored with simplicity, I think it's okay. I would much rather hear a cool chord progression on a simple tune than a not-so-cool chord progression on a virtuosic piano piece. That's me. What's you?

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
