When it comes down to it, we all have one job. To figure it out.
School can give us all the knowledge in the world. All the facts, figures, and formulas. But if we can't figure out how to use that knowledge to make our lives and the world better, then it doesn't matter.
You can get a degree in anything. If you can't figure out how to turn that degree into a career, then it doesn't matter.
And if you can't figure out how to turn a mundane career into a happy one, then that's not very fun either.
When piano students quit, it's because they couldn't figure it out. Whether it was figuring out the practice schedule, what exactly needed to happen during practice, or even how to ask for help.
The more practice kids can get at figuring things out, the better off they'll be. It's like building a muscle.
So bring on the music, puzzles, role-playing, games, and real-world projects!
