I Want to Try It

When we're kids, there's no question. When you see something new, the auto-response is "I want to try it." Excitement abounds. What new wonders will we experience?

But then some years pass.

And "I want to try it" turns into "I want to wait until someone else tries it first. Just in case it's embarrassing or unsafe."

By the end of high school, it turns into, "I don't want to try anything I might fail at."

But here's the good news. You're allowed to decide.

You're allowed to change your habits of thinking. You can find childlike excitement once again.

Try something new today, without thinking about it. It can be anything. Long as it's legal and non-lethal.

Be a child again.

You can always regret it afterwards.

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
