Have you ever taken a moment to appreciate that we call it "playing music?"
When we create music, we are playing...as the lingo goes.
We aren't working music.
We aren't doing music.
We're not forcing music.
We may create music or make music. Those are also common terms. But, the #1 verb when it comes to music is "play."
Yes, the problem solving, patience, and performing in public can feel like anything but playing sometimes...But remember, it's still playing.
So, find the joy. It's there waiting for you. Just play.
(Sorry if I'm going to hokey-town today...up there with, "Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present." Okay...now that we've cleared the air on that, back to the blog post.)
You can play other things, too, you know. Even the things we normally refer to as "work." It's allowed. Sometimes encouraged.
So...what are you going to play today?
