The Possibilities of the Word “Yet”

The word "yet" offers so much excitement and a world of possibilities. Just put it at the end of anything you can't do.

Like this.

I can't play this really difficult piece of piano music...yet.

I don't know how to improvise...yet.

I don't know how to ride a bike...yet.

I'm not happy with my career...yet.

I'm not allowed to go out and do the fun things I used to do...yet.

I have no idea how taxes work in the United States...yet.

When you live in the world of "yet," you live with a growth mindset. Knowing that if you persevere and push forward, "yet" will eventually become reality.

Try it today. It's almost a certainty you will feel a spark of excitement. Then you just have to take the first step forward.

Then, fasten your seatbelts. Possibility awaits.

Never miss a blog post!

For parents, students, and anyone else who believes that music can and should be a meaningful part of everyone's life.

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
