The Things COVID Can’t Take Away

COVID took a lot of things in March 2020.

It took away jobs. And in so doing, it took away the economy for a while.

It took away school. At least, in its traditional form.

It took away our social lives. In terms of social gatherings, anyway.

But, there's one thing COVID can't take away. Much as it has tried, and continues to try.

COVID can't take away our minds. All the same, COVID can't take away our personal power.

There are some who buckled under the pressure, the news, the negativity, and the despair. And there are those who found an opportunity to thrive and grow during the lockdown.

The beautiful thing is, we get to choose.

We get to choose to take control of our emotions, our health, our mental wellness, and even our immune systems. We may need to reach out for help to learn how. But, it's all within our control.

Leading into September, there's a lot of fear and uncertainty. But, it's going to be okay. Because you have a whole lot more control over the situation than you think.

No matter what that situation may be. COVID or not.

When 2 + 2 = 10

When it comes to practicing, most people don’t get how time works. People think the amount of practice time is most important. Rather than the frequency. Logic tells us this: Practicing 5 minutes for six days would be the same as practicing 30 minutes for one day. It adds up to the same total minutes, so the benefits are the same.
