What Would Your Teacher Say?

Student plays.

Me: I'm becoming fairly predictable. What am I going to say?

Student: Practice it in sections and work on the difficult places by themselves?

Me: So, did you do any of that this week?

Student: No

Me: Why?

Student: (shrugs...or on a festive day, the comically blank stare)

When you ask yourself, "What would my teacher/coach/mentor say?", the answer is obvious.

Another trick is to imagine what advice you would give a stranger experiencing the same challenges you are.

Again...the answers come quickly.

The question that should follow is, "What's keeping you from taking action?"
