The performing arts are often seen as an "elective."
A fun activity. But, something mainstream society believes kids shouldn't have to do if they don't want to do.
But, like it or not, we're all going to have to perform at some point.
We have to perform for job interviews.
We have to perform on a first date.
We have to perform for presentations.
We have to perform at work.
And that's just a start to the list. Sounds like we're going to have to perform quite a bit after all, doesn't it?
But, how are people to practice those skills?
Staying cool and collective even when things don't go as planned. Going in prepared, and taking the feedback as it comes. Improvising in unexpected situations.
This is why the performing arts are important.
Not just for the musicians and artists.
But, for everyone.
