Deadlines aren't fun. But they get us moving.
Otherwise, we end up waiting for perfect.
How many of us have had exciting projects that were put off again and again because we were waiting for the conditions to be just right?
I'll do it this summer when there's more time.
I'll start in the fall so it doesn't interfere with my summer relax time.
I'll do it in the spring after the holiday rush is over.
And so, the cycle continues. Possibly for years.
Set a deadline. Plan the recital performance. Schedule the music examination. Set out on the new hobby. Start the new business. Build the next invention that changes the world.
Tell a friend. Make it public so you can't secretly put it off.
Don't wait until the project is finished to set the announcement date. Set the announcement date so you finish the project.
There's no such thing as perfect. But you probably knew that already.
So, what are you waiting for?
