Fried Twinkies

There is nothing like a fried Twinkie. It's like tasting wonder and imagination itself.

A fried Twinkie once in a while is a nice thing to have. Eat two or three though, and you won't feel so well. Eat a couple a day, and you'll be downright sick.

And so, we must beware the fried Twinkies of the world.

This summer, taking some time off from music, from working out, even from working a job feels like an attractive idea. And there's nothing wrong with taking a week or two off here or there. Everyone deserves a break.

The danger is when it turns into taking the entire summer off.

And with the end of summer, comes thoughts of, Why not just start up in October? It will be fine.

Then October comes and goes, and you realize you forgot all about recommitting.

Fast forward several years, and what was supposed to be a summer break has turned into a permanent break.

Enjoy a fried Twinkie once in a while. But don't buy another one.
