Normal Revisited

When COVID began in March 2020, the world was in distress with the question of, "When can we get back to normal?"

During the summer of 2020, the world was wanting to get back to normal. At least here in Massachusetts, cases were around 200 a day. And we were hearing about COVID all day every day in the media.

Fast forward to today. There's a vaccine. We're not hearing too much about social distancing anymore. Nor are we talking about the case count that much.

The world appears to be moving on. With a case count of nearly 2,000 per day. Ten times what it was a little over a year ago.

Whether this is good or bad is irrelevant. The point is, it illustrates the fact that we create our definition of normal. Regardless of the circumstances.

We can make anything we want normal.

200 cases a day or 2,000 cases a day. One activity for our kids or two dozen activities for our kids. Working around the clock or focusing on work that matters.

We can make anything normal.

It's just a matter of whether we're choosing the right things.
