The Power of “So That”

Everything is about the bigger picture of purpose. Or it should be, anyway. It's much more interesting that way.

For example, if I said...

I want to have a huge income and build crazy amounts of wealth.

...then I probably sound like a pretty materialistic person.

But what about this?

I want to have a huge income and build crazy amounts of wealth so that I have the freedom to do what I want, the ability to help others, and a chance at making a deep impact on the world.

Things suddenly got more interesting and meaningful, right?

We don't just teach piano lessons.

We teach piano lessons so that our students have music for a lifetime. So during their brightest and darkest times, the piano will always be there for them.

We teach piano lessons so that our students build skills that will transfer to other areas of life.

We teach piano lessons so that our students learn how to develop discipline, show up every day, and persevere even when they don't feel like it.

We teach piano lessons so that the world has more creative thinkers who can see possibilities no one else can.

So...what's your "so that?"

  • I got back into piano lessons “so that” I can keep learning and keep my mind engaged in something challenging. And it’s working!!!
