If It Weren’t for my Horse

If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.

Ever hear something like that in passing, and your brain comes to a screeching halt?

And then you turn around to ask, "What the !@#$ are you talking about?" But they're GONE! And you're left to fill in the blanks on your own.

As much as I wish I could take credit for this one, this comes from a Lewis Black bit. You can check it out here (start at 1:19 if you're in a hurry).

Sometimes we have to cope with things that don't make sense. By either making up the details so our brain doesn't explode. Or by ignoring it altogether.

But in any case, it always makes a heck of a story.
