Until It Feels Dirty

How do you know a habit has stuck?

Or that you've repeated something enough days in a row to become a new part of your identity?

There's a simple yardstick. Do it until it feels dirty not to do it.

Once you've reached a point where it feels "weird" to not do the habit you've been working to create, you know you're there.

If you didn't used to practice, but now it feels weird not to practice, congratulations. You've practiced enough days in a row to feel dirty if you don't.

But don't slip up. Otherwise, when you miss a couple days in a row, you start to build the habit of not doing.

And that's not a habit you want to stick to.
