Gaeun Ban

Ga Eun Ban is a pianist and educator recognized for her refined artistry, collaborative versatility, and commitment to music education and administration. Currently based in Boston, MA, she is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at Boston University, where she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management.
Ga Eun holds advanced degrees from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (Graduate Performance Diploma and Master of Music) and a Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory. Her training has shaped her as a dynamic performer, with notable solo appearances at venues including Boston University’s Concert Hall, Steinway Hall in New York City, Kukje Art Hall in Seoul, Griswold Hall at Peabody Institute, Brown Hall and Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory. She has also performed as a concerto soloist with the Napolinova Orchestra in Italy.
Ga Eun is currently the Collaborative Pianist for the Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus and Brimmer and May School, and serves on the piano faculty at Kingsley Montessori School. She has held teaching positions at Boston University, Brimmer and May School, Pianoberries Music School, and previously directed her own private studio.
In 2024, she served as a Program Assistant for the internationally recognized Morningside Music Bridge summer program, providing administrative support, coordinating rehearsals, and assisting with community outreach.
As an educator, Ga Eun is dedicated to cultivating not only technical proficiency but also artistic expression and personal growth in her students. She fosters a supportive, engaging environment where each student’s individual strengths and goals are prioritized—whether they are pursuing performance, auditions, or playing for personal enrichment. She emphasizes joy in learning, encourages ensemble and creative collaboration, and aims to instill a lifelong appreciation for music that extends beyond the studio.
