Tianqi Zhao
Tianqi Zhao started learning piano at the age of four. By the age of fourteen, she was accepted by The Affiliated High School of China Conservatory of Music Middle school & High school in Beijing majoring in Piano Performance.
Tianqi holds her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she studied with Ya-Fei Chuang on scholarship.
Tianqi has performed at The Fifth Beijing International Piano Festival in 2010, been a Third Prize winner of the Colorado International Piano Academy Competition, and has performed recitals all over China and the US. Tianqi has extensive experience teaching students of all ages and levels. She loves teaching and enjoys building deep yet fun connections that foster the confidence of all her students. Tianqi’s goal as a piano teacher is to encourage her students to become lifelong musicians. She focuses not just on piano technique, but on understanding music through music theory, ear training, and history.
