Assumptions About the Future

People put off taking music lessons because they assume it will be overwhelming with their schedules.

Parents decide to end their kids' lessons because they assume holding their kids to a practice schedule will make them hate it.

Lots of students around the world ended their music journey in March 2020 because they assumed online lessons were inferior to in-person lessons.

The problem with assuming is, you always have to wonder "what if" afterwards. Unless you choose to forget about it altogether, of course.

Assumptions are meant to be tested. It's the way of the creative.

If it won't kill you, test your hypothesis. Prove yourself right.

Or better yet, prove yourself wrong.
