Chase the Red Dot

Ever see a cat chase a laser pointer? The "red dot," as they say?

The cat is relentless. A bomb could go off, and the cat would still be focused on that red dot.

That's how we need to be in our creative work.

The "red dot" symbolizes the next task you need to complete in your project.

If you're learning the piano, your "red dot" could be more big-picture. Like setting aside the time to practice every day if you're just getting started.

Getting one set of habits going, and then allowing the next habit (the next "red dot") to build on top of that.

If you're doing something like starting a business, your red dot could be getting your website up and running.

There's always one critical task that needs to be completed before you can move on to the next one. That's your red dot.

Now, go be like a cat.
