Emotional Decision-Making

Emotions evolved for two main reasons. (I think, anyway...)

To make us want more of the things that are good.

And to make us avoid the things that are bad, or that cause us pain.

Not all emotions are rational, though. When we get frustrated, punching the kitchen cabinet feels like a good, frustration-relieving idea.

But then, emotions fade.

And we're left tending to our busted hand, figuring out how to replace the cabinet door, and wondering what we're going to tell the neighbors.

But then, there are some who will defend the purity their emotional decisions the way knights used to defend maidens' virginity.

In any case, before making the big decisions...

The decisions to quit something, punch something, or publish that ballsy social media post that will "finally show them."

We have to ask ourselves.

Will we still feel this way tomorrow?
