Remember that old show MacGyver?
I have to admit, I never watched it. But I saw references to MacGyver on about a dozen other TV shows.
He's the guy who could take a paper clip, a rubber band, and a miniature statue of Mother Theresa and turn it into a gadget that would save the world.
Sounds pretty cool, eh?
But did you know, every child is born like that? Give them any combination of objects, and they'll make something out of it.
A toy. A game. A story. A tool. A work of art.
The key to advancing as a society won't be in memorizing facts, getting high grades, or going to a good college.
It will be taking this creativity we were born with into adulthood.
And making things no one ever thought to make before.
