Most of the things we think are secure aren't really secure.
The only real security is our ability to fly by the seat of our pants. Because the world is unpredictable.
For example, take a job that's so-so. You don't love it. You don't look forward to going to work every day per se. But it's a "safe" job. It's good to be employed, after all. Even if we don't like it.
But then, consider this.
Unless you're the boss who can create change, what happens when things aren't run well? But they're run that way because "that's the way it's always been done?"
Meanwhile, a competitor that doesn't care about "how things have always been done" is innovating like crazy.
The safe job doesn't seem so safe anymore, does it? And by the same token, even if you remained in a secure job, was the adventure worth the lifetime?
This is why every human must perform. Insecure, in front of people, without a safety net. As often as possible. Becoming secure with insecurity.
Because in a world where most people are just following orders and trying to get the correct answers, the one who can improvise on the fly has a serious advantage.
