Ukraine and the Bright Side of Technology

The Russia-Ukraine conflict is criminal. Tragic. People are comparing it to World War II.

But there is a bright side of the story to consider.

It's where we've come technologically since World War II. Technology born from creativity and dreams.

And how, despite this technology's flaws, manipulation, and corruption, it's saving the world.

So much of what happened in WWII relied on propaganda. And the government keeping as tight a lid as possible on any information other than what they wanted their people to believe.

But when the president of Ukraine can press a button and broadcast a video to the entire world, it's a different story.

When a country can click a few buttons and isolate another country economically, it's a different story.

And when the president of Russia blocks Facebook, Twitter, and Wikipedia, even the most patriotic of Russian soldiers would start questioning what the truth is.

Who would have thought the turn of the decade would have brought the worst pandemic in 100 years and the worst European conflict since 1945.

But technology is saving us from even worse catastrophe on both fronts.

Who would have thought...right?
