What Will You Vote For?

When it comes to the kind of person you are, it's not all or nothing.

If you're someone who procrastinates, you don't have to be a lifelong procrastinator.

If you're someone who doesn't practice, you don't have to settle for mediocrity.

And if you're someone who's out of shape, you don't have to settle for being an unhealthy person.

This is assuming that you want to change, of course. If you're happy with being an out-of-shape procrastinator who doesn't practice, no judgement. (Not being sarcastic...I promise.)

But, if you want to change who you are, it requires one thing.

Action.

Or more specifically, multiple actions over time.

I came across a great quote recently.

Every action is a vote for the kind of person you want to be.

Maybe it's simplistic. Maybe it's not. But you'll never know until you give it a try.

Pick something today that you want to be. What are the actions you need to take to be that kind of person?

If you're a procrastinator, do 5 minutes of work on something you've been putting off.

If you don't practice, sit down and practice for 5 minutes right now.

If you're out of shape, go for a short walk today.

And then do those things again and again.

You have nothing to lose. If you try taking action and your life doesn't improve, you can always go back to voting for the things you did before.
