Work Like a Baby Walks

I've written at least a dozen posts about the importance of failure as a part of the process of learning a skill.

Piano being one of them.

But you can apply it to anything.

In fact, so many books on personal development, entrepreneurship, and skill-building include at least one chapter on failure, it's almost a joke at this point.

But nothing exemplifies this more than a baby learning how to walk.

When babies learn how to walk, they fall. They hurt themselves. They cry. They wreak havoc upon the household.

But they always get back up.

They never say, "Oh well...I guess walking isn't for me."

And with time, after hundreds of falls, the magic happens when they take those first steps.

Somewhere down the line, we lose this obsessive willingness to keep getting back up.

But it's always the answer.

Get back up enough times, and it's inevitable that you will succeed at anything you do.
