You Are at the Center

The news and media lead us to believe our destiny is out of control.

That we can't make a difference in the world without being a billionaire. That world affairs are going to make us miserable. That inflation and recessions are going to make life hard over the next few years.

But the good news is, you are at the center.

The center of your destiny. The center of your happiness. And even the center of your sadness.

And you get to make the decisions around that.

No one can take that away. But the world takes away our belief that it's true.

Yes, many of us are born into circumstances we couldn't control. But, we get to control our actions every moment after. And we can choose to make the most of those...or not.

It's like the quote attributed to Bill Gates:

If you're born poor, it's not your mistake. If you die poor, it is your mistake.

The quote applies to money, but metaphorically, I think you can apply it to a lot of things.

You're at the center.

So if you're unhappy, frustrated, or feel like something's wrong with the world that needs changing, don't look elsewhere. Especially the news.

Look at you.

And decide what you want to do next.

It's all in your control.
