A Top-Down Perspective of the Mind

As humans of today, our decisions and conditions tend to be dictated by outside factors.

We're afraid of a bad grade, so we stay up until 2am studying.

We don't move as much as our ancestors did, so we're more tired and we breathe heavier.

We worry what others will think of us, so we do things we would never otherwise do.

We don't practice music because it's the one thing we won't get a bad grade or thrown out for.

But, what if the script could be flipped?

What if...instead of everything else dictating your mental state, you could take control of your mind to dictate everything else?

A top-down effect of sorts.

Everyone is familiar with the placebo effect. That's the thing where sick people are given sugar pills, told it's medicine, and they recover as well as (and often better than) the people who took actual medicine.

Modern medicine doesn't seem to explore this remarkable ability of the mind beyond the sugar pill.

But, what if you could remove the sugar pill from the placebo effect, and get the same results?

Take control of your mind and harness its remarkable power to create the body, health, and life that you want?

There are many paths you can try, like meditation, writing, breathing, yoga.

Or even if it seems far-fetched right now. Next time you're feeling like emotions, decisions, health, or life are out of your control, for yourself or for your kids.

Know that more is possible. And you won't even need a sugar pill.
