If I could invent a new kind of insurance it would be "bad music teacher insurance."
I mean, it makes sense, right? Teaching music is a totally unregulated field.
You can legally accept money in exchange for lessons whether you have a doctorate in piano or your highest qualification is your record score on Guitar Hero.
So it should be expected that there may be damages resulting from an unqualified teacher.
It would go something like this.
You could carry it like any other insurance.
And in the event that it turns out your teacher caused musical, technical, emotional, or mental-health damage, you would have coverage.
This would cover the costs for the next teacher who will have a heck of a repair job ahead of them.
A lousy first teacher causes all kinds of problems that go beyond music. A bad first experience could affect the next two generations of the family tree and their perceptions of music.
It's not a step to be taken lightly.
All the more reason to choose a first teacher carefully. And protect yourself.
Bad teacher insurance...putting students back together since 2022.

Thank you, again, for putting together a cool, intelligent and talented bunch of piano teachers and calling it SOUTH SHORE PIANO SCHOOL!!! I am grateful I found y’all!!
