Be Seen as a Failure

It's easy to put off projects out of fear. Even the ones we're excited about.

Because we're afraid of being seen as a failure.

But what if you flipped it? What if you tried to be seen as a failure? What if you took failure as a badge of honor?

Because the alternative is not being seen at all.

I would much rather people say...

Man, that project Jonathan Roberts launched was a major bomb. What the !@#$ was he thinking?

than...

Jonathan who...?

Do the project. Take the class. Make the move. And if it fails, at least you'll have learned something. And you can always try again.

In any case, it's a lot more interesting than procrastinating out of fear only to regret it 20 years from now.
