Strive to be a Student

The greatest thing a master can do is learn how to be a student again. Because there's always more to learn. And there are more creative roads to discover.

The comedian George Carlin was known to regularly throw out all of his material so he could start from scratch again. To make his material better.

It can be helpful to start from chapter 1 again with fresh eyes.

Or, to learn new skills that can make your work even more profound.

And of course, there will always be others who are further along in their creative journeys that we can learn from. People who love to share their work so we can learn from it and make it our own.

Being a student takes on many forms. And it's the greatest quality one can hope to achieve.

That of a lifelong learner.
