Suzuki Piano Lessons
As a parent, starting young children in piano lessons can feel overwhelming. In Suzuki piano lessons, your children will learn music the same natural way they learned language. Plus, you will bond with your child like never before.
What is Suzuki Piano?
Suzuki lessons are a school of teaching developed by Shinichi Suzuki in the early 1900’s. With the Suzuki approach, students develop their ear and healthy playing technique before learning to read music. This is not “delaying” music reading. This is placing it in the developmentally appropriate place for young children.
The parent-child bond is heavily prioritized with the Suzuki approach. Parents observe the lessons and are given practice instructions to follow with their children between lessons. This also models the language acquisition model. Children learned how to speak from observing you. Now, they will learn music through similar means. This brings parents and children even closer together. In addition, experience has proven that this approach is much more successful than “traditional” approaches with young children.
