Back to the Future

The Back to the Future movies are some of my favorite movies. Don't worry, no spoilers in this post if you haven't gotten around to watching them yet.

There are three of them, all part of a continuous story.

Parts 1 and 2 each have a resolution to their storylines. But in the final minutes of each movie, a new sequence of events propels our characters into a cliffhanger that leads to a "to be continued" before the next movie.

I always found that kind of cool. And with cool things, analogies follow.

I've come to think of Back to the Future 1 and 2 as being kind of like learning a new piece of music. Or completing a project.

We have our ups and downs. Our challenges. Our defeats. And finally our victory.

But the movie isn't over. It's time to think about the next project, and go off to the next adventure.

The action only stops when...well...you stop.
